Nudging: Call the friend who makes me laugh the most

Over my life, I’ve learned to do a few “tricks” when I’m feeling down:

Make a gratitude list (just three to five things)

Go for a walk

Take a nap

Cuddle with a dog

This week, I’m treating myself to a call with a friend who lifts my spirits every time we’re together, even when we’re miles apart.

Who you gonna call?

    Good Morning Kathleen,
This is a Nudge I had no hesitation about. And I knew exactly who I would call on Monday morning. Cher lives in Minnesota so I could call her while I was still lounging in bed and she would already have had her morning walk and would be having her breakfast. We talked for nearly half an hour and laughed almost the entire time.
Cher is a great raconteur and her sense of humor is a solid match for mine. I will copy and paste parts of her text later that day to show just how great the effect of the NUDGE was on both of us. Emails and texts are our ease in communication, but nothing beats taking the time out to hear the other’s voice, to laugh and bring out laughs in another person that reaches our ears, our hearts and souls.
Cher’s text: Your personal phone call lifted my spirits & made me feel valuable! I so enjoyed laughing & sharing with you! Bless your sweet self and I love you!!! Cher

This is a HUGE THANKS for this NUDGE!
