Nudged: Clean the white board
I actually have two white boards in my office: one is a calendar format and the other is a big space where I scribble personal and professional goals, to-dos, and affirmations. Not sure which one I’ll wipe clean today, but the plan is to leave it blank till the end of the week before deciding what I’ll use it for moving forward.
Clean slate, pretty literally.
What might you clear this week?
What Happened: Decided I’m not quite ready to erase my big goals for the year, so I focused on the smaller board that I’ve been using to plan and track exercise.
What’s next? More fitness? (Def needed.) Production schedule for a new book? (Possible.) Breakdown of small tasks to complete the big recipe clean-out? (Even though I took a step backward with my recent Nudge to declutter recipes, I’m still determined to have this organized by year-end.)
I haven’t yet decided. So, I’m leaving it blank for the moment.
The Ah-Hahs: I love the feeling of checking off something on my to-do list. But this week, I don’t know…. I’m just not ready to decide how I’m going to use this board to complete this Nudge. And I’m finding I’m liking the feeling of a blank slate. I’m looking up at it right now, as it’s positioned on the wall that’s facing my desk, and I feel…excited. Energized. Hopeful. Is that weird? It says to me “Anything is possible,” and I trust that the right project will reveal itself to me soon.
P.S. I used special white board cleaner, even tried a recommended vinegar formula to try to remove the old marks. Saw some mention somewhere that coffee works. Anyone had luck getting their old white boards truly white? Share in Comments, please.
